(late check out fee of $18 per dog applies) This is also the same for early check-in.

Yes, we offer tours everyday of the week during our business hours with the exception of  11am to 2:00pm Monday to Saturday, as we are closed for daycare for nap-time, cleaning, and staff lunches. Please visit our gallery for pictures of our facility.

You may bring up to 3 small toys per suite or kennel for your dog(s).Toys must be labeled with a permanent marker to ensure they are not lost or misplaced. Blankets and home bedding is not permitted. We provide all dogs with a bed/blanket and launder them so they are always fresh and clean. We can not guarantee all items will be returned or in the same manner they were brought in as we have no control over dogs possible destruction of toys. Customer assumes all risk.

If your dogs tummy is upset, we will hold one meal of food to give it time to settle. However, diarrhea is quite common during or after boarding due to the change in environment can be stressful on pets. For more serious situations, we will contact you to let you know what is going on (or your emergency contact if you are unreachable) and if you decide it’s necessary, you or your emergency contact will take your dog(s) to your veterinarian for treatment. For  immediate emergency situations, we will take your dog to the closest vet possible to seek treatment.   The medical release you sign, authorizes Bliss Pet Resort & Spa to seek medical treatment in your absence.

Absolutely! Go to petexec.net, sign in with your email (in most cases) and you can schedule boarding and daycare and request a grooming appointment. We have a 24-7 online reservations system for your convenience. If you are boarding your pet for the first time, please call our office to inquire first and receive directions on how to establish your dog(s) as our guest.

Our staff ensures all dogs a last potty break around 6-6:30pm nightly. Boarding dogs do not go longer than 12 hours overnight without relief, as our morning staff will relieve the dogs into our potty yards at 6:30am.  This is usually adequate for  dogs. At Bliss Pet Resort & Spa, we have a state of the art security system, cameras, thermostats, and locks all controlled by smart devices. We have ability to watch over the premises 24-7.  In addition, management lives only a few miles away and is always on-call to the pet resort if needed.

Our primary concern is the welfare of our guests. For this reason, our minimum boarding age for dogs is after the first week of the second round of puppy shots. It is generally recommended that puppies get their first round of shots at 6 weeks.  Your puppy must have  two rounds of DHPP and Bordetella.   Rabies is not required for puppies under 16 weeks to board with us. If your puppy has not had these vaccines, we recommend using a pet sitting service to care of your puppy in your home while you travel. Check out our sister company, Personable Pet Care.

Yes! We will board unaltered male or female dogs however they are not permitted in our social boarding programs, as those are for only spayed and neutered dogs. Unaltered pets board in our Individual Care program only which gives them 4 potty breaks per day, and one enrichment activity. See boarding for more detailed information of what is all included in this boarding service!

We have specific check in and check out times for all boarding pets. We operate similar to a human hotel in which check in is available after 2pm and check out is by 12:30pm Monday to Saturday. We do offer early check in (7am to noon) or late check out (2-6pm) for a nominal fee of $18 per pet.

No, we do not. In our experience dogs can become more restless for extended time away from home and therefore are a bit higher risk for stress related illness. We watch these dogs more carefully to make sure they stay happy and healthy.

Your dog(s) will adjust quickly to Bliss Pet Resort & Spa’s staff and our routines. Feeding, cleansing, exercise, and staff monitoring are all scheduled events that bring routine and structure to their home-like environment. You can do some things to help prepare your pet in the days before your pet is to be our guest. First, establish (or reinforce) a routine schedule of meal times and limit feedings to twice per day, if possible. We feed in the morning, and again in the early evening. (We can also feed lunches if this is a normal routine)
Also, we quiet the pet resort down after closing hours to give the pets adequate rest and comfort. It’s best if your evening schedule, in the week before boarding, is stable and consistent, and getting the pet(s) into a comfortable “wind down” to their day in the evening which will enable them to adjust quickly to their stay with us.

Multiple pets staying together is determined if they get along well and the total combined weight of the suite they are staying in is under our limits (see boarding info). There is always a concern one pet can take action against another pet and we are not responsible should this happen. We will keep a close eye and ear out for any scuffles and if that should happen we will separate them on your behalf and change your boarding fees appropriately.  If you think this is at all a possibility we recommend booking separate accommodations. We do offer a separate to feed service for dogs that can not be fed in the same area. This is a nominal fee of $2.50 per meal to remove a pet to eat alone due to eating all the food or food aggression. Please inform us at check in.

They can be with our Gold package!  At Bliss Pet Resort, we take an individualized approach to each dogs needs and stay.  We offer multiple packages starting with 1 1/2 hours of play time up to all day play. View our boarding packages to learn more.

No, when choosing our location at opening, it was extremely important to have a large outdoor area with several fenced in yards and potty areas for the dogs to run and play and get sunshine. Some “pet hotels” are all indoors and to us, sunshine and fresh air is a key ingredient to a happy, healthy dog. We have over 8000 sq feet of combined indoor and outdoor space here at Bliss Pet Resort & Spa!

Each suite is fully sanitized each morning, and spot cleaned throughout the day as needed. Our pet care staff continually checks suites throughout the day to ensure any pet messes are completely removed and sanitized. Most dogs will do their elimination during their outdoor break times as to not soil their “den.” Each dog will receive fresh, clean linens if needed in the morning and any soiled linens will be replaced as needed throughout the day.

We strongly encourage you to keep your dog on his/her same food diet. Please bring the food in pre-portioned ziplock baggies for each meal with your dogs name clearly marked in permanent marker on the bag. Please don’t label the food AM or PM, each bag should have the same amount of food. If wet food is needed, please label it with your dogs name and how much to give at each meal. A change in diet can trigger a sensitive stomach bout which we want to avoid, so keeping your dog on his/her diet is recommended. We offer a high quality kibble at $2/meal if needed.

The risk of catching a disease or illness while boarding at Bliss Pet Resort is possible but rare. We require up-to-date vaccines for all dogs participating in any service at the resort. However young and old dogs immune systems are weaker and they may pick up an illness another dog may not even show signs of. They can catch viruses very similar to children at school or daycare. Most healthy dogs do not have any issues. We also have high efficiency 2nd air handler/HVAC system in our daycare and boarding suites area, equivalent to hospital grade, to remove the entire air within the dog spaces every 10 minutes. Fresh air from outsides then piped back into these areas. We invested a lot of money into our air handler system to ensure disease transmission was virtually unrealistic here at Bliss Pet Resort & Spa. We also use a state of the art cleaning system by Aqua-Air, that requires no smelly, waste collecting drains in our building. The Aqua-Air system steam cleans our floors and walls killing any and all bacteria.

Yes we can administer medications including insulin to pets. Pets who need insulin need specialized care are boarded under our Individual Care/Special Needs program. Older dogs who have some health issues and are on meds are boarded under our Seniors program.  If you pets have extensive medical /health needs our sister company, Personable Pet Care, has trained pet sitters to care for your those needs including diabetic dog(s) in your home. We will administer other types of medications such as oral pills or liquids, medications for the eyes, ears, and ointments/sprays/ gels for other areas of the body as directed. All medications must be in their original prescribed containers with clearly marked instructions and pet name.

Most Boarding Facilities are not open on Sundays forcing you to pay for boarding another night or are only open in the morning. We are open both morning and afternoon to meet the needs of all customers. Coming back from a trip, no worries, you can pick up between 2pm and 5pm. Regular check out on Sunday’s is between 8am and 9am. Any pick up between 2pm and 5pm will be $18 per pet for late check out.

Yes! All ages are welcome. Older or handicapped dogs will be placed in  our Seniors boarding program. We want to ensure they get adequate attention, daily health monitoring, extra potty breaks, orthopedic bedding, and an enrichment service of your choice to give them bit of attention or keep them active. See Seniors package to learn more.

Grooming FAQ:

Great question! At the time of appointment, we will find out how much hair you are looking for your dog to have trimmed. This will determine if you need a Spa Trim or All Over Make Over. You will need to upload your dogs vaccines to your online portal prior to coming in and sign all of our digital service agreements. It helps when you check in to bring a picture or know the length of coat you would like for your dog. For example, popular length are a #4 (3/8) inch with a teddy bear face. We have a length chart we can show you. Keep in mind the chart could be much more dense than the texture of your dogs hair. After we get the exact hair cutting instructions, we will also offer additional grooming services such as teeth brushing and nail dremel. Then after about 4 hours (for small dogs, longer for large dogs) we will text you your dog is ready for pick up!

All groom and bath dogs are assigned a kennel at check in. They are typically bathed within the first 30 minutes of arrival and we start blow drying them. They are put in their kennel with a room temp fan to dry a bit more. While they are fan drying, the groomers are working on other dogs. When your dog is almost fully dry, they will then finish them off with the hand dryer and begin their hair cut process. The hair cut process takes a minimum of 1 hour for the smallest, most well behaved dogs. Wiggly dogs, large dogs, and those who don’t like the grooming process will take longer. We work on the dogs in the order they check in. We provide potty breaks and water during their time with us.

If you dog is not a fan of grooming, we will try to groom him/her and may use a muzzle to keep the groomer safe. Some breeds, such as terriers do not like grooming and tend to be a bit bitey. The muzzle does not hurt them, it simply prevents the groomer from being bit, they take extra time, provide breaks, and talk sweetly to the dog. If the hair cut needs a muzzle to be accomplished or assistance from another person, we will add a Special Handling Fee of $15 to your groom.

Yes we groom Puppies! However, it takes a handful of times for puppies to get used to the grooming process. You can help by giving your puppy baths at home, playing with their paws and feet regularly and overall touching them everywhere. This helps them be better prepared. Please be realistic for what we can accomplish for a puppies first few hair cuts. We generally recommend we do a Spa Trim, which is not a full hair cut, however we cut the face, clean up the body outline, shave the pads, trim the nails, tidy the sanitary areas, and clean the ears. This allows your puppy to slowly get used to grooming. If we try to do a full hair cut on the first groom and your puppy is very stressed, jumping a lot, the hair cut may not be accomplished fully. We always aim for satisfaction and we wouldn’t want a half cut wiggly, scared puppy! Generally we can tell how your puppy will do for a full hair cut after the first time or two with us.

We do not currently offer any discounts because our groomers are paid on commission. Occasionally we may email limited promotions on grooming.

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for grooming. We can only take a limited number of hair cut appointments daily, so if someone cancels or does not show up, our groomer does not get paid for that groom. With 24 hour notice we can typically refill a cancelled grooming appointment, otherwise there is a $50 fee to reschedule / cancel with less than 24 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Our guests can go potty when and where they like. Our staff is with the dogs at all times to immediately clean up after them however most dogs go potty on our soft artificial outdoor turfed yards.

The safety of the dogs is always our first priority. In our initial interview and temperament test, we make every attempt to weed out possible aggressive behavior or dogs that might attract aggressive behavior. We closely monitor dogs and keep play on a fun, friendly basis so that it doesn’t become too wild or confrontational. However, dogs use their mouths & paws to play; therefore, little scratches & nicks are not uncommon. If anything serious should happen, we will transport your dog to a nearby veterinarian if needed and notify you immediately.

No! Dogs are very good at learning they can do one behavior in one location and another behavior in a different location. If your pet is house-trained at home – he will remain house-trained at home. Your home does not have 30 canine residents with all their attendant odors. Your dog will definitely know the difference between home and daycare.

Please call to set up an account, get information, and set up First Day and/or Temperament Test with us. You will need to load your current vaccination records onto your client portal. On your first day, your pet will need to arrive by 8am and they will be with us all day for a Temperament Test. Puppies may do half day for their first day if you’d like.

Your pet will be introduced to a couple of new playmates one at a time to see how he/she will react to new friends. We introduce them slowly to other dogs on leash while carefully watching their body language to ensure they are comfortable, social, and non-aggressive. Aggressive/ dominant dogs are not permitted in our Standard Daycare program. For Puppy and Enrichment Daycare, we have very specific schedules we follow, see those services to learn more.

For Puppies and Enrichment dogs, yes we recommend you bring in their food for us to feed in a food puzzle! This gives them some fun mental stimulation. You can half  their normal breakfast into breakfast and lunch to ensure they eat the same portion.

If your pets has special medical needs such as blind or deaf or epilepsy or some other ailment, we will place them into our Enrichment Daycare program. Pets with handicaps are welcome into this daycare program.

No, daycare packages may not be used towards boarding costs. However, all dogs who have passed a temperament test get 1 1/2 hours of daycare included in the cost of boarding. Longer daycare is offered in our Silver and Gold packages as well.

We offer discounted prepaid packages of 10, 20, or 3o days for Standard Daycare, Puppy, and Enrichment.

If we see your pet vomit or has diarrhea, we will inform you at pickup. Generally this is not life threatening and holding food or giving rice or pumpkin at home may help.

Even in the most hygienic, well-ventilated boarding and daycare center, the possibility of your pet catching Canine Cough exists. Canine Cough can be transmitted from your neighbor’s dog, from an outdoor dog park, or from sitting with your pet at an outdoor restaurant. Much like the common cold or flu, there are many different variations and the vaccine does not cover them all. Puppies and immune-compromised dogs are at a much higher risk of transmission
